Privacy Policy (POPIA)

Lustly is the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Contact our Information Officer at support@lustly.co.za.

What we collect: your email address or South African cell number (whichever you sign up with; for a cell number we send you one-time SMS codes through our SMS provider), advertiser details you submit (name, age, city, WhatsApp number, photos, ad text), reports you send, and basic technical data. Visitors need not register. We set one essential cookie (age confirmation, 30 days).

Why: to publish and moderate ads, prevent abuse and underage use, and comply with law. We do not sell personal information. Service providers (hosting, payments) process data on our behalf under contract.

Your rights: access, correct or delete your information, or object to processing, by emailing support@lustly.co.za. You may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za). You can ask us to erase your data at any time by emailing us; if you cannot sign in, we do it for you after confirming the request comes from you. You can also delete your account yourself from your dashboard: your ads, photos and any ID documents are erased immediately. We keep (a) records of payments for 5 years as tax law requires, and (b) ads that were reported or removed by moderators, hidden from view, plus reports, for up to 12 months for safety investigations (including reports to SAPS), or longer where the law requires. If we ban an account we keep a one-way hash of its email address and the phone numbers on its ads, for as long as needed to stop it returning; if the person asks us to erase their data we delete their email address itself and keep only that hash and those numbers.

ID verification (optional): if you request the Verified badge you give us a photo of your ID document and a selfie. They are visible only to our moderators, stored privately, used solely to confirm you are 18+ and that your ad photos are you, and permanently deleted as soon as we decide (or after 30 days if not reviewed). We do not record your ID number. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw before a decision by emailing support@lustly.co.za.

Advertising: to fund the site we show third-party adult advertising after you confirm you are 18+. Our advertising partner may set cookies or similar identifiers and process your IP address and device information to serve and measure ads. We do not give them your account details or ad content. Ads are never shown to unconfirmed visitors, and never on account, payment, verification or legal pages. Check the partner's own privacy notice, and use your browser's tracking controls or an ad blocker if you prefer not to be tracked.

Security: we apply reasonable technical safeguards but no system is risk-free. Do not include ID numbers or banking details in ads.
